Arthritis Advocacy in BC

Arthritis Advocacy in BC

 Strength in Numbers

The Arthritis Society BC and Yukon Division works together with arthritis advocates improving the lives of the 600,000 people in BC living with arthritis. We are building an advocacy network across BC and the Yukon, which is committed to creating positive change and bringing arthritis to the top of the healthcare agenda.

We need more advocates to help in the fight against arthritis. The rapidly growing prevalence of arthritis in British Columbia’s population has become a major health care crisis. Serious gaps exist between what is necessary in arthritis treatment and what a citizen in BC and the Yukon receives.

We need the help of advocates in communities across BC and the Yukon to become involved and take action for arthritis. Read about the issues, become informed and make your voice heard.

CAPA

The Canadian Arthritis Patient Alliance (CAPA) is an organization led by Canadians living with arthritis who are dedicated to improving arthritis care and services.CAPA is guided by the belief that the first expert in arthritis is the person who lives with it. Members are motivated by a vision of a world free from arthritis. As a network of advocates, CAPA members and associate members work independently and together at the national, provincial and local levels on issue important to people with arthritis. www.arthritispatient.ca.
