We need people who:

Are willing to devote their time and energy to effect positive change in their own lives and in other lives in their community.

Understand the issues and are willing to stand among health professionals, researchers, administrators and politicians to tell them that:

• People with arthritis need timely access to specialists and services, and to themost effective therapies available.
• Wait times for joint replacement surgery are unacceptable.
• Funding for arthritis research should be increased to more accurately reflect the burden of the disease.
• Increased training and support for young researchers and arthritis-focused  doctors is essential.
• Cross-border Internet pharmacies should be banned to protect Canadians' supply of prescription medications.
