A series of educational materials were developed as part of the Getting a Grip on Arthritis project. Now that the workshops are complete the materials are available online for the first time.

This booklet provides information about arthritis and its management. There is information about health care providers who can help you manage your arthritis through exercise, healthy eating, and medications. You will find tips for managing arthritis pain and solving everyday problems, as well as recommended books, videos and websites where you can learn more.

For people with arthritis and for heath care providers

Poster	PDF
This poster describes healthy choices and arthritis. It also includes questions to ask yourself if you think you may have arthritis. Health care providers may want to print this poster and hang it in their offices.

For health care providers

Arthritis Best Practice Guidelines	PDF
This tool for health care providers outlines arthritis treatment guidelines. The treatment guidelines are based on the arthritis best practices developed by the Getting a Grip on Arthritis project.
Arthritis Prescription pad
Hand this arthritis prescription to patients newly diagnosed with arthritis to refer them to The Arthritis Society for more information, to an exercise program or to a weight management program. There is room at the bottom for your notes and on the back there is information on healthy choices for your patient.
