People Getting a Grip on Arthritis is the sequel to The Arthritis Society's "Getting a Grip on Arthritis" project which was an educational program for health professionals. This new program provides people with arthritis with information on strategies that will help them learn to better manage their arthritis. People Getting a Grip on Arthritis encourages people with arthritis to take control of their condition and reduces their need to use the healthcare system.
People Getting a Grip on Arthritis is part of a research project funded by a grant from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR). Dr. Lucie Brosseau of the University of Ottawa, Sydney Lineker of The Arthritis Society, and Dr. Mary Bell of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, are the Principal Investigators. Many people have contributed their time and expertise into the success of this project. You can access below the online version of educational information provided as part of the People Getting a Grip on Arthritis research project.
