Going Blue for Juvenile Arthritis
On April 6th, almost 180 students at Montgomery Street School
in Fredericton, New Brunswick, participated in a “Go Blue” walk and fundraised
close to $200 in support of kids and families impacted by juvenile
arthritis. Thank you to students and teachers for going blue - because it's
the right thing to do! Click

In March (Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month), and September (Arthritis Awareness Month) The Arthritis Society – NB Division holds its annual "Go Blue and Give Too" Campaign for schools and businesses.
Go Blue aims to raise awareness of Juvenile Arthritis and funds to provide educational programs and services throughout the province. A portion of funds raised through Go Blue Day will also help support research projects to help find better treatments for arthritis.
How to get started!
You need to let your co-workers or classmates know that your business or school is taking part in Go Blue Day. Put up the posters we provide; make an announcement about Go Blue Day; you might consider sending an email or memo. A reminder the day before Go Blue Day would be a good idea.
What do we wear?
Anything Blue! Have fun with Go Blue Day! Blue doesn’t just mean jeans – how about a blue shirt, hat, socks, blue suede shoes! Anything goes!
On ‘Go Blue Day’:
It’s easy!
Choose a time during the day to acknowledge people wearing
blue, i.e. first thing in the morning, before or after lunch, and give them the
opportunity to make a donation (any amount is appreciated). We can provide
stickers for participants; you can give these out when they make their donation.
If you require extra stickers, let us know and we will arrange to get them to
you.
When ‘Go Blue Day’ is Over:
Send the money to The Arthritis Society and please return any unused stickers. A self-addressed envelope can be provided.
So will you Go Blue?
