Volunteer Opportunities

Make a difference...

The Arthritis Society relies on the commitment and generosity of a number of volunteers to carry out some of its activities. With your help, we can better respond to the needs of people with arthritis and their loved ones. Whether it be for educational programs or special events, there is a place for you!

Here is the list of volunteers activities offered by The Arthritis Society:

  • support service and information, 1-800 line (take calls from people with arthritis and provide them with useful information);
  • clerical work (prepare information kits for people with arthritis, help in the mass mailing of the fundraising campaigns, etc.);
  • helping to welcome participants at special events (Super Party, Golf Classic, Soirée Spectacle, etc.), ticket sales, etc.;
  • ASMP Leader (lead an ASMP session  - 2 person team). To become a leader, the volunteer must follow a 3 day training course and subsequently commit to 2 ASMP sessions per year;
  • leader of arthritis information workshops (2.5 hour conference). To volunteer for this activity, you must complete the ASMP Leader training;
  • help out at educational activities (informations desks, forums, etc.). Help welcome people and provide information.
